Dear Members,
The Executive Committee of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association (TTCBA) hereby gives formal notice of the Nomination Proceedings for the upcoming Election of Officers, scheduled to take place on Tuesday 25th November, 2025.
The nomination process shall be conducted in accordance with the Bylaws of the Association and as outlined below:
1. Dates of Nomination
- Monday 10th November 2025 to Thursday 13th November 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Friday 14th November 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
2. Location & Supervision
Nomination boxes will be placed at the TTCBA Office, Room #29, Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, and supervised by the Administrative Officers of the TTCBA.
3. Nomination Forms
Nomination forms will be available from Monday 27th October 2025 and must be accurately completed. Both proposers and candidates must be financial members of the Association.
4. Opening of Boxes
Nomination boxes will be opened at 3:00 p.m. on Friday 14th November 2025 in the presence of an Executive Member, a prospective candidate (if available), and an Election Official. The procedure will be Trinidad & Tobago Carnival Bandformally documented on prescribed forms and submitted to the Administrative Office and the Returning Officer.
5. Withdrawal of Candidacy
Any candidate wishing to withdraw must notify both proposers during the nomination period and submit written notice at least three (3) days prior to the opening of the nomination boxes. The withdrawal letter must be presented at the box opening on Friday 14th November 2025 at 3:00 p.m., after which the nomination form will be destroyed.
Members are encouraged to participate actively in this process as part of their commitment to the continued growth and governance of our Association.
