Notice to Members - 8th October 2025

Dear Members, 

The Executive Committee has taken notice of the practice which has gone on since inception to permit members and persons to bring themselves up to date with their annual membership subscription well past the following timeframe prescribed in clause 5.1 of the Bylaws of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association (TTCBA):

• Every member, except an Honorary (Life) Member shall pay such dues as the Executive Committee may from time to time prescribe. Annual membership subscription shall be payable, on the 2nd of January of each year for the calendar year. A grace period of 30 days from the due date will apply before a member shall be deemed non-financial. A non-financial member shall automatically cease to be a member in good standing. ​

Having taken advice on the matter, the Executive Committee has resolved that this practice can no longer continue. The Executive Committee appreciates that an expectation may have been created that members would be permitted to pay after the 30 day grace period for payment has passed therefore, members are hereby notified that clause 5.1 of the Bylaws shall be strictly enforced from 22nd October 2025.
