Born and Bred in the community of Sangre Grande is Mr. Varma Leo Lakhan, an individual of many traits and talents.
As a Certified Physical Fitness, Aerobic and Spin instructor with a deep interest and heavy involvement in fitness, a choreographer of East Indian dance, a designer and all-around mas artisan Varma Leo Lakhan knows Carnival and the work, beauty and grace that it embodies .
Varma Lakhan has been involved in the Carnival Fraternity for the past 13 years. Starting off assisting in his uncle’s carnival band ‘Good Hope and Associates’ back in 2007, where he found his passion in carnival artistry.
In 2013 he branched out and founded ‘Antourage Productions Carnival’ through which he has made his name as one of the top designers of King and Queen Costumes. Prolific in his skills, Varma is a well rounded mas man, designing and building his own creations to life.
Varma has designed and built costumes that has won the National King and Queen of Carnival titles on various occasions and now spreads his wings designing for many other bands across Trinidad and Tobago as he continues to produce top designs that challenges the expected and transcends imagination.
In 2023 he was elected as a Director of the Trinidad & Tobago Carnival Bands Association board to share his knowledge, experience and expertise toward the growth, sustainability and viability of T&T carnival.
